Come explore the vast palace complex of Hampton Court, one of only two surviving palaces owned by Henry VIII. Some of the Tudor architecture survives, but this astonishing site has been reworked and given new life many times over hundreds of years. From Archbishop Wolsey to Sir Christopher Wren, some of English history’s most famous have had a hand in what you can see today.

Taken by Henry from the Archbishop after the break with the Catholic Church, Hampton Court Palace saw the downfall of Anne Boleyn and Jane Seymour’s delivery of Henry’s heir Edward VI. Later co-regents William and Mary commissioned Wren to redesign some of the palace and gardens in the new Baroque style, much of which can still be viewed today.

In addition to entry to the palace, experience a luxurious afternoon tea at one of London’s poshest spots. Venues include the lovely Waldorf Hilton (champagne included), the refined Millennium Mayfair or the chic Dalloway at The Bloomsbury. All serving delicate finger sandwiches, scones, cakes and of course, tea.
