Details

It doesn’t matter if you’re a complete novice or already have some experience in bushcraft, this full-day experience will introduce you to the fundamentals of outdoor survival and provide ample opportunity to improve on areas you might already be familiar with, based on the 4 main principles of survival – food, fire, shelter and water!

You’ll learn practical knowledge and master the hands-on skills you’ll need to save your life and others should the worst ever happen. The course adapts to changes in weather and season but on an average day your highly trained instructor will teach you different ways to construct shelters, light fires and purify water. You’ll explore the woodland around you as you’re taught how to forage for and make use of the many surprising resources that the natural world offers.

While there isn’t time to catch your own food on this course, ingredients will be provided as fresh as they come – that means still in fur or feathers! (Vegetarian options can also be arranged.) You will learn how to prepare food properly and cook it over an open fire. Fantastic tasting food is one of the few compromises you won’t have to make out in the wilderness!

  • Learn how to build shelters, light fires and purify water out in the wilderness
  • Be assigned your very own bushcraft knife for the day
  • Discover the vast array of resources offered by the forest
  • Prepare the freshest ingredients for lunch – still in its fur or feathers!
  • Enjoy the beautiful woodland of Oxfordshire
